Anthony – I just moved a few weeks ago and I found that the most valuable part of the move for me was the packing. It made a huge difference in the amount of time needed to prep for the move. They did what it would have taken a week for me to do in just a few hours. That made the loading and unloading so much easier.

I really like the cost-saving idea of decluttering. With most movers, you pay based on the estimated weight of the items so dejunking goes a long way at reducing cost. Removing cost from the loading, hauling, and unloading parts of the move. When we arrived at my home and started putting things in their place, we realized there were a number of things that we didn’t know where they were going to go and we could have just gotten rid of rather than paid to move.

When I consulted with some removals companies I found that 100 to 150 is the average hourly cost of the move. And no doubt that reference is the best way to get stress free services.

Also word of mouth and references are always a safe bet if you can get them. That’s how most of my customers found their movers.
